This workshop addresses the challenges of burnout and compassion fatigue, offering practical strategies for managing both and maintaining wellbeing in high-demand environments. Participants can explore lesser-known signs and symptoms, learn about the importance of centering your personal values in protecting from burnout, and develop practices to sustain their passion and effectiveness in their work.
This workshop explores the principles of compassionate caregiving, defining this as distinct from the broad notions of “gentle parenting” and in stark contrast to punitive, more “old-school” approaches. Presenters discuss why “traditional” strategies are often ineffective, offering ideas to lessen caregiver effort while increasing effectiveness—especially with youth who have experienced trauma.
This type of workshop can be adjusted to suit many different topics and is ideal for groups interested in helping participants interrogate implicit biases. Using a critical approach (which has roots in intergroup dialogue), facilitators guide participants in thoughtful opportunities to reflect and share. Throughout this training, facilitators provide evidence-based, didactic content that can help attendees better acknowledge and challenge pernicious beliefs about minoritized groups.

This training covers the impact of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) on children and adolescents, offering participants a deeper understanding of the condition and its behavioral, emotional, and developmental effects. Attendees will learn practical interventions and strategies for supporting individuals with FASD in various settings.
This training offers certification in PC-CARE, a modified version of Parent Child Interaction Therapy, equipping providers with the skills needed to effectively implement this evidence-based treatment for young children with behavioral challenges. The course includes hands-on practice, coaching, and the tools necessary to become a certified PC-CARE provider.
We can offer a range of trainings related to suicide prevention (i.e. assessment, safety planning, lethal means safety) to meet your group’s needs. Additionally, Dr. Stephanie is a registered safeTALK trainer who can offer this manualized, 4-hour training for groups of 10-30 individuals, ages 16+. This intervention prepares community members to become suicide alert, better able to recognize signs and engage a person who might be having thoughts of suicide. Attendees who complete this training will be safeTALK certified. [NOTE: safeTALK is our only training which must occur in person.]

This workshop provides a comprehensive overview of healthy sexual development in youth and teens, emphasizing both how to support adolescents as they navigate this critical aspect of their growth and how parents can talk to their teens about sexual development. Participants will gain insights into common challenges, effective communication strategies, and ways to foster a positive, informed approach to sexual health.
